Red Cliffs Country Market
The Red Cliffs Market is held the first Sunday of every month from 9am to 1pm. Just a short stroll from the park and offers over 100 stalls of local produce, crafts, bric-a-brac, gourmet delights, plants, jewellery, sausage sizzle and rides for the kids. … Chinta Ria Foods will be on hand to serve you great local, fresh, healthy and tasty fast food. Enjoy the live entertainment and pop up art galleries. Most local stores are also open for your convenience.
Big Lizzie
Australian History at its finest. This massive traction engine is the largest ever built in Australia. So large and so slow that it took over two years (1917-1919) to make the journey from Melbourne to the Red Cliffs area.
Big Lizzie was used to clear vast expanses of land around the river at the Red Cliffs soldier settlement, it was capable of clearing up to 50 acres in a day. Big Lizzie provided 700 Soldier Settlement blocks for veterans of World War I and founded the town which honours her today. Her work at Red Cliffs was done in about four years.
By the early 1930s, Big Lizzie ran out of steam, her engine was sold to a quarry and she and her trailers were abandoned before they were rescued to stand guard in the centre of Red Cliffs.
Red Cliffs Lookout
From this lookout there are amazing views over the Murray River and surrounding landscapes including the 70-metre cliffs which are the source of the town’s name. These cliffs take on a rich red colour and make strong reflections in the still waters of the Murray River. The lookout is near the entrance to the Red Cliffs Pumping Station. It is well signposted.
Turn east off the Calder Highway at the northern end of Red Cliffs onto Fitzroy Avenue. Travel 1.5 kilometres then turn right at the roundabout onto Cocklin Avenue. Immediately turn left onto Pumps Road and travel 3 kilometres to the T-intersection of Woomera Avenue. Turn left onto Woomera Avenue and follow the signs to the lookout.
Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway
Ride on the a 1.5 km narrow gauge railway re-built on part of the former Victorian Railways branch line from Red Cliffs to Morkalla. The principle attraction is the Kerr Stuart steam locomotive “Lukee” built in 1901 and restored to operating condition after being in static preservation in Red Cliffs since 1953. Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway operates on the first Sunday of each month from 11:00am till 3:30pm. Except January and February. The railway also operates on Easter Saturday, the Victorian Labour day weekend and Queens Birthday weekend on the Sunday. For more info visit and updates please visit the website.

Mungo National Park
Uncover a starkly beautiful landscape of ancient dry lake basins and sand formations in Mungo National Park. You can take a tour of this magical landmark with an Aboriginal ranger, and learn about the cultural history of Lake Mungo. The 70km Mungo Self-Guided Drive Tour is a brilliant introduction to this unbelievable desert landscape. Starting at the Mungo Visitor Centre, the loop track takes in all the main attractions of the park including the Walls of China boardwalk, Red Top lookout and Rosewood picnic area.
Red Gum Gully Boardwalk
A much loved and well used facility by both locals and tourist, the iconic Red Gum Gully Boardwalk leads to a viewing platform nestled besides an old red gum and looks across the river towards an ancient landscape. The platform sits near a significant midden site which dates back 38 thousand years.
Psyche Bend Pumps
As part of establishing an irrigation system for the region in the late 19th century, the Chaffey Brothers installed huge pumps at Psyche Bend and began pumping water from the Murray to Kings Billabong. The original pump house still stands at Psyche Bend today, complete with the still-operational pump, and is the oldest pump configuration of its type in the world.
Mildura Country Festival
Mildura Country Music Festival is held every year for more than thirty years. The festival is focused on Australian country music. Famous Australian ensembles and artists playing the unique Australian country genre perform in the festival.
Trentham Estate Wines
Just 15 minutes from Mildura, Trentham Cliffs is home to Trentham Estate, a family-owned winery and restaurant beautifully situated on the banks of the Murray River. Trentham is recognised internationally and throughout Australia as producers of premium award-winning wines. With its own mooring, you can arrive at Trentham Estate in style aboard your own houseboat for a leisurely lunch or catch the PV Rothbury on Thursdays for a BBQ lunch, wine tasting and winery tour.
Hattah Dessert Race
The Hattah is the largest national junior and senior motorbike desert race in Australia, arguably tougher than the Finke Desert Race. Hattah has the reputation as being the most challenging off road race in the country. Held over the first weekend in July each year, the event attracts over 550 riders and teams nation wide and showcases the talents of the countries best enduro riders, together with offering the only junior desert race in Australia.
Botanic Gardens
A prime example of what community spirit can achieve is on display at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. As the first semi-arid botanical gardens in the southern hemisphere, this is where the desert really comes into bloom. The plantings showcase a wide variety of Australian and exotic species, the centrepiece of which may be the rose garden featuring over 1600 colour co-ordinated bushes.

SDRA aims to provide all drag racing enthusiasts whether it be Volunteers, Competitors, Crew Members or Spectators with affordable, enjoyable and successfully run Drag Racing events held at their 1/8th mile drag strip facility located in Victoria's North West.
Mildura Family Fun – Putt Putt
Mildura Fun Centre offers Great Family Entertainment with a themed 18 hole Putt Putt Golf Course, dodgem cars, laughing clowns, plus over 40 arcade games including a range of the latest prizes redemption games. Hattah Kulkyne National Park
The Hattah-Kulkyne National Park is a national park in the Mallee district of Victoria, Australia. The 48000ha national park is situated adjacent to the Murray River, northwest of Melbourne with the nearest regional centre being Mildura. The national park is a popular destination for bushwalkers and school camping trips. The park is famous for its red dirt and semi-arid shrub-like vegetation, mainly eucalypts. There are several lakes in the area, the largest of which is Lake Hattah.
Perry Sandhills
The Perry Sandhills sit on the edge of the flood plain that includes Thegoa Lagoon. They are ancient and include Aboriginal cultural heritage areas. Due to their unique nature, the sandhills have been used as a backdrop in many films and television shows. Explore the Beautiful nature of these continuously shifting sand dunes.
Kings Billabong
Bordered by a wide stretch of the Murray River just minutes from Mildura, Kings Billabong is an ideal place to discover local river wetlands, nature and history. The park is home to the majestic River Red Gums and a fantastic variety of birdlife. Spend your day canoeing, kayaking, fishing, bushwalking and bird watching in this scenic wildlife haven.
Millewa Pioneer Park
The Millewa Pioneer Park, situated 82km from Red Cliffs on the Millewa road at Meringur was established in 1986, to recognise the efforts of the early settlers creating homes and farms in challenging circumstances. It is run by a volunteer committee, committed to creating a visual hands-on display of early Millewa District history and lifestyle. The emphasis of the displays is to preserve the heritage, environment and history of the wider Millewa community. The park is open daily for you to browse around. Guides and light catering are available by appointment. Come and learn about our history and share our enjoyment of this wonderful region.
